2019 - 2025, Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Crop Improvement, funded by USAID (25M$). Co-lead writer in the role of Associate Director for Social Sciences and Economics .
In February 2025 (after being renewed for a new 5-year round in Sept. 2024), the program was abruptly cancelled by the current US administration (under President Trump) along with thousands of USAID – funded awards (a partial list of cancelled awards can be found here). Up to now, we receive no explanation why the program has been cancelled. In the effort to continue the amazing work done in 5 years of partnership (and keep amazing students and collaborators), the team is currently re-purposing and re-submitting ideas to alternative donors. If you are interested in knowing more about the work of the lab and explore potential collaborations, see https://ilci.cornell.edu/ and get in touch!
